Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the IWC process — from application to arrival in Germany.

Application Process

The online application form takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. After submission, our team reviews applications within 2–3 business days and will contact you via email and WhatsApp with next steps.
Yes, absolutely. We welcome applications from candidates already in Germany, those in Pakistan, and Pakistani professionals living elsewhere. The process works the same way regardless of your current location.
Each applicant is limited to one active application. However, you can specify your primary field of interest and secondary preferences on your application. Our team will consider all relevant matches.
You'll receive a confirmation email with your application number. You'll then get access to your applicant portal where you can upload your 20 required documents. Once documents are reviewed, you'll be scheduled for a video interview with our team.
Log in to your applicant portal at iwcommission.com/applicant/login.php. Your dashboard shows real-time status updates, document review results, upcoming interview schedules, and messages from our team.

Programs & Eligibility

Yes — on employer-paid healthcare routes, candidates pay €0 in recruitment fees to IWC or its recruiting partners. The employer or hiring institution covers recruitment costs. Optional IWC career-readiness packages remain available separately, but they are never required to be considered for healthcare pathways.
No — IWC never charges placement fees. IWC offers optional paid career-readiness packages (CV formatting, document organization, interview preparation), which are separate services and not placement fees. Recruitment and placement, where applicable, are handled by licensed recruiting partners.
On non-healthcare pathways, the licensed recruiting partner may charge a one-time success-based fee of up to €2,000 — payable only after you sign an employment contract with a German employer. Nothing is paid upfront, and if you are not placed, you pay nothing. This fee is charged by the partner, never by IWC, and is separate from IWC's optional readiness packages.
For nurses: a BSc Nursing or equivalent diploma, minimum 2 years of clinical experience, and willingness to complete German language training (B1 level is typically required for recognition). For doctors: MBBS or equivalent, and ability to pass the Approbation process.
It depends on the program. Healthcare typically requires B1 German for recognition. IT and engineering roles often require B1–B2. If you don't speak German, many employers offer paid language training as part of the package. Indicate your German level honestly in your application.
Salaries vary significantly by program. Healthcare workers typically earn €2,500–€4,000/month including allowances. IT professionals earn €3,500–€6,000/month. Engineers earn €3,000–€5,500/month. These are significantly higher than Pakistan-based salaries and come with full German social benefits.

Documents & Verification

The full document checklist is provided in your portal after application. Generally, you'll need: a valid passport, CNIC, educational certificates, degree transcripts, professional licenses/registrations, experience letters, a reference letter, a CV, and more — up to 20 documents total. Your portal tracks each one.
Documents issued in languages other than English or German typically need certified translation. For the application stage, you can upload originals. Your IWC coordinator will advise you on which specific documents need certified translation and when.
If a document is rejected, you'll receive a notification via email and in your portal explaining exactly why it was rejected and what needs to be fixed. You'll have 14 days to re-upload the corrected version. Our team is available on WhatsApp to help clarify any requirements.
There is no strict deadline for the initial upload, but we strongly recommend completing your documents within 30 days of submission. Applications with incomplete documents after 60 days may be moved to a waitlist.

Visa & Relocation

Yes. Once you are placed, IWC coordinates closely with your employer and can provide supporting documentation for your visa application. We'll also prepare you for the German consulate interview if required. However, final visa decisions rest with German authorities.
Most placements use the German Employment Visa or the Skilled Worker Visa (Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz). For healthcare workers with qualification recognition, the recognition process itself simplifies the visa path. Your IWC coordinator can help you understand which visa type may apply to your situation — visa decisions are made solely by German authorities, and IWC does not guarantee visa approval.
IWC assists with relocation guidance and can connect you with employer-provided housing resources. Many of our partner employers offer temporary housing support for new arrivals. We strongly recommend arranging accommodation before your travel date.
Yes, Germany allows family reunification. Once you have established yourself — typically after 3–6 months with a valid residence permit and proof of sufficient income — you can apply to bring your spouse and dependent children. IWC can provide guidance on this process.

Timelines & Expectations

The average timeline from application submission to departure is 4–8 months. This includes document review (4–6 weeks), employer matching (2–4 weeks), credential recognition (variable, often 3–6 months for healthcare), visa processing (4–12 weeks), and relocation preparation. Healthcare credential recognition is typically the longest step.
The most common reasons are: incomplete or fraudulent documents, failure to meet minimum language requirements, insufficient work experience, not meeting the specific employer's requirements, or criminal background issues. We encourage complete honesty in your application — misrepresentation leads to immediate disqualification.
We'll provide honest feedback on why your application was not approved and what you can do to improve your eligibility for a future application. Some applicants return after completing additional German language training or gaining more experience and are successfully placed on their second attempt.
